ROYSE CITY – Bart Bryant connected on a 26-yard field goal in the first overtime to lift Commerce (6-2, 5-0) to a 24-21 victory over Royse City (3-5, 2-3) in a 10-3A District game. This was Commerce's fifth straight victory.
Terrance Callagan led all rushers with 147 yards on 26 carries. Callagan also added his tenth touchdown on the season to give the Tigers a 14-0 lead midway through the second quarter.
Brandon Rainbolt and Jock Kerbin padded an interception each to thwart two scoring drives. Kerbin's pick was at the goal line late in the fourth quarter.
