LI NDEN - It was a tale of two halves against a team of two cities for the Commerce Tigers Friday night as they took a 14-10 non-district victory over Linden-Kildare at Jack Hetherington Memorial Stadium.
Commerce, which improved to 5-0 on the season, turned the ball over four times in the first half and trailed Linden-Kildare, 10-0, at intermission.
But it was a different story in the second half as Commerce scored 14 unanswered points to claim its 21st consecutive win.
"We played as bad as we could play in the first half," said a relieved Commerce coach Steve Bragg. "We just challenged the team at halftime to step up and go after them. And this team responded like champions."
