Commerce Dominates Cooper

COMMERCE ­ The Commerce Tigers dominated on both sides of the ball in their 42-0 shutout Friday night over the Cooper Bulldogs in non-district play at Memorial Stadium.
The Commerce offense scored 21 points in the second quarter of a first half which saw the Tigers accumulate 220 of their 313 total yards on offense. The Commerce defense not only limited the Cooper offense to just 139 yards of total offense but recorded its second consecutive shutout.
"Anytime you get a shutout, it's something to be proud of," said first-year Commerce head coach Terry Cron, who sees his No. 2 state-ranked Tigers remain undefeated at 3-0.
Cooper falls to 1-2 with a second straight loss to a District 11-3A team.
