Commerce 41, Lake Worth 7

THE COLONY - The Bullfrogs of Lake Worth met the "Bull Moose" of Commerce in the Area round of the Class 3A Division II playoffs Friday night at Cougar Stadium. And the amphibians proved no match as Commerce leapt into next week's regional round with a 41-7 win.

Ryan Sienty, a.k.a. "The Moose", rushed for 148 yards on 12 carries to power the Tigers. The senior fullback scored on a 32-yard screen pass in the second quarter, and ran for a 64-yard touchdown in the fourth period.

"It's playoff time and the Moose is Loose in the playoffs," said Commerce coach Steve Lineweaver, who saw his team improve to 12-0 on the season. "We like to go with the big guy when the money is on the line. He's done it the last two years."

The No. 3 ranked Tigers will take on No. 2 ranked Atlanta, a 38-6 winner over Rains in next week's Regional round. Game time has yet to be determined. Lake Worth, a third-place team from District 11-3A, finished 9-3 on the season.
