BONHAM -- Bobby Phifer had all four touchdowns and the Commerce defense gave Bonham
nothing to account for in a 28-0 District 10-3A win Friday night at Warrior Stadium.
Phifer ran for three touchdowns and passed for another to lead Commerce (4-2, 3-0) to its
third straight district win. Bonham fell to 0-6 overall, 0-3 in district.
"The offense was in sync tonight," said Commerce head coach Terry Cron, "We
blocked pretty well and got a good job from all three of our backs. We still had some
mistakes and need to improve on some mistakes and need to improve on some things, but it
was a pretty good effort."
Fullback Jesse Boyter, who rushed for 88 yards, and tailback Terrance Callagan (55 yards),
opened up some opportunities for Phifer. The senior quarterback rushed for 153 yards on
just eight carries, including three for scores.
Williams was held to just eight yards on 14 carries in the second half, while Jones was
limited to minus 2 yards passing

offense rushing for 142 yards on seven carries with touchdown runs of 39,22 and 25 yards
as Commerce (4-2,3-0) amassed 361 yards while defeating Bonham (0-6,0-3). |
| Commerce only allowed 33 second half yards to Bonham that
started winless after six games for the first time since 1973. |
| Jesse Boyter of Commerce had 93 yards on nine rushes.

in the first quarter on Commerce's opening possession,before running 39-yards for a score
to end the second one. Bart Bryant hit the following extra point,going 4-for-4 on
