IC 2177 The Seagull Nebula

IC 2177 is a large loop of nebulosity with two brighter features; one being Cederbald 90 at the right "wingtip" of the seagull and the other VDB 93 making the "head". Two NGC clusters; NGC 2335 and NGC 2343 are at left center and lower center.

This image is a composite of two 60 minute exposures on Kodak E200 film plus a 60 minute exposure on Kodak hypered Technical Pan film. They were made with a Takahashi BRC 250 astrograph.
