NGC 4565
NGC 4565 is a very nice edge-on spiral galaxy in Coma Berenices. It has a conspicuous dust lane which runs all the way across its arms. Also seen above is another galaxy NGC 4562.
This image is a composite of a 1 hour hypered Technical Pan B&W exposure; and two 90 minute exposures on hypered Kodak PJM mulit-speed color film. The TP exposure was made with a 12.5" f/7 Newt and the color exposures were made with a 10" LX200.
