The M8/M20 Region

This region of the summer milky way in Sagittarius is home for two summer showcase objects; the emission nebula M-8 below and the combination emission/reflection nebula M-20 above. The entire region is immersed with faint nebulosity as some can be seen in between the two. 

This image is a six-frame mosaic; each frame being a composite of two 1 hour exposures on hypered Kodak LE400 film. They were made with my 12.5" f/7 Newtonian.
