M-45 Deep; IC 353 and IC 1995

The well-known star cluster M-45 is surrounded by faint reflection nebulosity that is only recorded with deep exposure images. The image below is a deep E200 color film exposure that also includes a deep Tec Pan film exposure. Special enhancement was used to boost the fainter areas of nebulosity. The mag 5.5 blue star at top left-center is surrounded by the faint glow of IC 1995, and the area between this star and M-45 is the faint blue nebulosity of IC 353. 

The image below is a composite of a single 75 minute Kodak E200 exposure and a 60 minute hypered Kodak technical pan exposure. The images were made with a Takahashi BRC 250.
