M-27 the Dumbbell Nebula
M-27 is a class of nebula known as planetary nebula. It is the brightest and one of the largest planetaries there is; and certainly the most impressive visually. It is in the summer constellation Vulpecula.
This image is a composite of two 60 minute exposures on hypered Kodak LE 400 film. It was shot with my 12.5" f/7 Newtonian.
