M-104 The Sombrero Galaxy
M-104 is a bright magnitude 8 galaxy in Virgo. It is outlined with a rather thick, dark band of dust on its equatorial plane.
This image is a composite of two 1 hour exposures on hypered Kodak PJ 400 film. They were made with the 12.5" f/7 Newtonian.
